HIPPY HAIGHT : HAPPY HIGHT

The summer adventures continued as I ventured to my native California. Although not quite my neck of the woods, I did sink my teeth into a delicious In n Out burger. Aside from spending quality time with my beautiful mother and grandmother, I traveled to San Francisco with my sorority sister, Autrin (Autrin's Adventures).

View from the top of Lombard.
And what a day it was. I never knew you could fit so many activities, and shopping, into one afternoon. Along with shopping, we also ate our way through the city. But I wouldn't change a thing about our girl's day of fun. I have to admit to making some fabulous purchases, but the real fun occurred when revisiting the breeze of the Pacific Ocean and the fog of San Fran. The first stop was the golden gate bridge. A classic view atop the hills of San Francisco. Next, was a delicious cupcake stop at Susie Cakes followed by a Super Duper burger.Shopping was a must. There are too many cute boutiques hidden within the hills of the city, you just have to find them, along with their deals. A drive past Lombard along with a selfie shoot followed. This is a view not to be missed when traveling to the city. The infamous drive down Lombard is a popular tourist attraction given its perfect view and cozy houses on either side of the street.

The eating continued with a trip to Ghirardelli Square. In the famous chocolate eatery, the girls circled a chocolate Sunday while looking out the ocean to a beautiful view of... Alcatrez. In my quest for the perfect tourist gift, we made a pit stop at Fisherman's Wharf. Sandwiched between a tasty hole-in-the-wall burrito was more shopping and treasure hunting.

I forget out liberating it feels to be by the ocean. Although it was a chilly, foggy day it was beautiful to feel the breeze of the ocean hitting my face. I still aim to longboard down the streets of San Francisco, just like I imagined when I was younger and living a bit more south. Until we meet again, California.
